A board is meeting this week to determine the seeding of the regional, online and international Madden qualifiers to determine where each competitor will be seeded. With a wide range of play styles, those closest to the events will determine where the top players in Madden NFL 08 will be ranked. There will not be a simple measure used, such as points scored or margin of victory, but the difficulty of the regional qualifier and intangible aspects will be considered as well. The hope is for the seeds to most closely represent overall ability.

In last year's event, the international qualifiers were bunched together on the bracket, but that may not be the case this year. Also, this means we may see the online qualifiers mixed throughout the bracket.

The bracket that is currently online on the Madden Challenge website is not the one that will be used to seed finalists, and is simply being used as a placeholder for the names of the regional winners.
