Just because Anderson is off the playing field doesn’t mean this mogul has a lot of downtown. He has immersed himself with many projects, the majority of his time dedicated to Pro Spot Fitness (prospotfitness.net) and jamalanderson.net. In addition to that, he makes several trips out to Los Angeles to keep up on his many pop culture side projects. He appeared on an amateur rap competition on MTV a few months back, and he recalled the experience with a smile. “I initially said 'no' to that,” Anderson said. “It turned out to be pretty fun. I met some pretty cool people, but I’ll leave the rapping up to others.” He also had the opportunity to host TRL, and said Los Angeles is a nice place, but can’t imagine living their with all the paparazzi. Another great aspect to Anderson’s visit was his very well-educated insights to the NFL and its teams this year. If NFL fans had to sum up this year’s two big stories, it would be the Patriots and their undefeated streak and, of course, Michael Vick, who has brought some negative press to Anderson’s former team. “I’m disappointed he was involved because I’m a fan,” Anderson said. “I’m a fan of the team and I’m a fan of the city.” He also gave the Patriots a lot of respect as most others bash them. “The Patriots don’t care about going undefeated,” Anderson said. “They aren’t concerned with it. That’s just a little nugget of what they want to do.” Page:
