Jeremy "Prolific" Horne vs. Mohammed Abdulle Final Recap To open the final game of the tournament where the winner will be headed to the finals in Hollywood, Jeremy "Prolific" Horne kicked off to Mohammed Abdulle. Much like his game with his brother, on the first play from scrimmage Abdulle rolled out with Peyton Manning on play action, but Horne was prepared. Horne picked off the pass attempt, only to have his drive stall to settle for a fieldgoal, 3-0 Horne. On Abdulle's ensuing drive, he connected for an 80-yard touchdown pass deep down the right side of the field to make it 7-3. Horne started moving the ball on his second drive, only to be faced with a key 3rd & 3. Abdulle's scouting of Horne paid off on the play as he anticipated Horne's fullback dive up the middle. Abdulle stuffed the play and got the ball back. As Abdulle charged down the field, he again threw an interception over the middle on a rollout. Horne returned the favor by throwing an interception of his own. Abdulle let time tick down on the first quarter, only to run Addai up the middle to start the second quarter for a 5-yard touchdown, 14-3. Once again on Horne's next drive he was faced with a 3rd and short, deciding to run the fullback up the middle, only to be stuffed by Abdulle again. On the next play, Horne threw an interception which Abdulle fumbled, giving Horne a second chance. With new life, Horne tossed a deep bomb for a touchdown to Roy Williams making it a 14-10 game. Abdulle used the final seconds of the first half to kick a field goal and take a 17-10 lead going into the second half. As the second half got underway, Horne's offense remained inconsistent as he went three and out. Abdulle charged forward with Joseph Addai and turned what looked to be a short gain into a long touchdown run, 24-10. Horne got the ball with his back against the ropes. Horne was able to convert on a long 3rd & 18 and later succeeded with a fullback dive on 4th & 2. It looked like Horne had something going as he drove deep into the Colts' territory, only to have his pass picked off. Abdulle then threw another interception on a rollout, giving Horne great field position and perhaps one more chance to get into the game. It was not meant to be, however, as Horne tossed another interception. The last two possessions Horne and Abdulle struggled on offense until Abdulle regained the ball with seconds remaining, taking a knee to secure the win. | ||||||||||||||||||||
