Shaun Alexander who was on the Cover of Madden 07 (and is our Madden Forum Icon) has some company in the backfield in Seattle now. Julius Jones and TJ Duckett have both signed with Seattle and rumor is that Alexander will be a June 1 release. If he is, that likely makes his Madden Curse complete as he's dropped off two seasons in a row and is about to be released according to John Clayton of ESPN.
They're also saying it's going to be a rough market for Alexander to find a job in due to a deep RB rookie class. I've heard rumors of Tampa Bay, Cincinnati and a couple other teams, but nothing where it sounds like he'll be the definitive No. 1 starter.

I'm hearing that Ducket will get short yardage and Morris will be the third down back. That wouldn't leave a lot of room for Alexander too I wouldn't think. Especially considering he's set to make almost 4.5 million. Lot of money for 10 carries/game

As a Seahawks fan and season ticket holder im glad to see him gone. Most of the buzz around here and on espn, etc have him gone. Ruskel was in a tough situation after that superbowl run. Either take a chance and sign him long term or let him go and face a PR nightmare from the fans. The onle people that want him around now are the loyalist who still think he has it. With that said Him along with Holmgren and Hass have really brought back Football to Seattle and we arnt just a baseball town anymore. I appreciate what he has done for this team and city but its time for him to go.
Our running game has been a joke since Hutchinson left. Alexander had it made for him for those good 4 years. I'm really looking forward to next year to see how the run game/pass game will pan out. We finally got a new veteran guard. Seahawks will probably throw SA under the bus and release him June 1st to balance the cap space out for the next couple seasons. This should be interesting....
