Don't ask me why, but the Chicago Bears just resigned Rex Grossman to a one-year deal to be the starting quarterback. $3 million base salary + up to $2 million in incentives.

Can't wait to see Rex have his typical few games of brilliance and a dozen other where the Bears have to win inspite of him, and not because of him or the offense. I hope Hester and the defense are able to score enough points to carry him through another year.

and if you read the article it says "many players on the bears offense want him back" which is true...i've heard nothing otherwise from anyone within the bears organization that suggests they are not behind grossman 100%. he's a good leader and although he has some sh*tty games i expect that to change...i don't get why but i just want him as our qb. only guy i would want more is derek anderson...yes i'm on his nuts...

#19 that's true that the Bears offense wanted him back, and that may be a good judge. After all, they wanted Thomas Jones and not Cedric Benson - and look at what each of them did? Jones was great in 06 and Benson was horrible in 07, and the Bears are considering a new RB for 2008.

grossman isnt terrible...he is just not consistant. Hes up and down one game he will do "good" and other games he will do "bad".
