The Bears released Muhsin Muhammad today with 2 years left on his contract. A decrease in receptions was cited as one reason, but to that I credit the Bears' terrible passing offense.
It's an interesting move considering Bernard Berrian is a free agent. They did resign Alex Brown to a two-year extention.
Interesting for the Bears' to make the move as their offense has struggled so much in the past few years.

he didn't mesh well with the rest of the bears' offense imo. berrian, however, needs to be re-signed because he's just an animal..and if hester actually learns to play the WR position well...oh man what deep threats they would be.
Yeah I agree with some of what you said #4, but I like Muhammad as a solid posession receiver. He's great at getting just enough for a first down. I disagree that they need to bring Grossman back. The guy has proven he's unreliable at best. While I love his upside from a few games, I'd rather have someone like a McNabb if they can get him or Derek Anderson if he hits free agency.

They need to pick up Quinn Gray, he's a free agent this year. He won a world bowl and backs up jacksonville. Garrard went down and he didn't play so hot immediately, but he quickly rebounded and lead them to a 2-1 record in the only three-game road stretch in the NFL.
he can play.
in the four games he started in this year, he threw for over 300 yards twice, threw eight touchdowns and threw INTs in only one game. In the season finale, he threw 39 times to complete 64% of his passes for 302 yards and 4 touchdowns with no INTs for a 122 QB rating. Jacksonville would love to pay to keep him, but I think he wants a starting job somewhere, and he wont get that in jax. If he's on the market, he'll be starting somewhere next year.
DEREK ANDERSON. is he a free agent right now? if he is...omf they need him. i don't like mcnabb one bit, he comes from an offense that throws the ball like 50 times a game. im not saying its hard to hand the ball off 30 times a game but i just think mcnabb is used to being able to move around with his legs a bit more than he'd be able to in chicago. the bears need a work horse at the back position in order to get back to how this team was built. letting thomas jones go was a horrible decision :/
and i'm serious about grossman. and if anderson comes to the bears then omgggg because he's basically my hero atm.
#13 Hence why they MUST draft a tackle in the first round. The QB position is terrible, but their tackles are 35 yrs old. Take your QB in 2nd round and find a RB/WR in the 3rd/4th. Might be able to find a good DT somewhere in there also.
