Halo-mania has hit the entire world overnight, and GotFrag DPAD is your source to providing an inside look on the fans that drive this gaming community.
Hundreds of thousands of fans have been waiting for the moment to come. September 25, 2007 seemed like a date that would never come to some people. The wait was long and hard, and it ended up becoming a day that will live in infamy. The controllers are synched and the HDTVs are up and running... Halo 3 is now available and a number of people are taking today as a sick day to sit home and enjoy themselves.
The question still remains, what makes Halo so popular? Is it the amazing graphics touted by Bungie? Is it the multiplayer matchmaking that is supposedly the best in the gaming universe? Perhaps it is the smooth gameplay and pick up and play controls.
Here at GotFrag DPAD, we have stepped out of our protective shell to go visit one of many local midnight launches around the country for this amazing game. Michael "MuRRaY" Murray was able to spend some time with the fans that drive this game out of the water in Jersey City, New Jersey.
Featuring a line of over 200+ rabid Halo fans, we were one of the first to wait for the game at the New Port Center mall. Featuring one of the best groups of people around, we took some time to bring to you the fans that bring to us a sense of accomplishment when we go online and say "Damn this game is awesome." Let's just say that this local launch generated a MUCH larger line than the Toys 'R' Us line for NFL Madden 2008.
Just wait, we are only getting started on page two...
