During the panel discussion that took place at the Summer Championships, the CPL announced that it will be holding a CPL Extreme Winter Championships from Tuesday, December 18 to Saturday, December 22, 2007 at the Hyatt Regency in downtown Dallas, Texas.

The Winter Event will hold two pro-tournaments:

$50,000 Halo 3 Tournament (Xbox 360)
$50,000 Counter-Strike: Source (PC)

The Winter Event will also host several semi-pro tournaments and a World in Conflict sponsorship match.

The online registration for the Winter Event will be launched Monday, September 10th and admission will be $75 for pro and semi-pro tournaments and/or BYOC. The Hyatt will soon offer rooms for $75 a night.
