So you're team is down in points and you know you have to step it up in order to take the map. Here's what to do to get your team going strong and finishing the game with a bang. ![]() Let's start with some simple facts that should keep you and your team a bit higher than the other morale-wise. THREE WRONG MOVES: 1.) Give up: You’re losing, and you’re losing badly; but this is the most important thing to remember. Comebacks start with the mentality. Rushing towards the enemy each time does not do anything but hurt your team as well. You have to smack yourself and get the energy to push harder. 2.) Argue with teammates: As tempers flare and players look for logic to their slow start -- it is very easy for tempers to flare. At this point it is essential not to blame others. Teams win together and they lose together. Find the chemistry that brings everyone to MLG and ride it through. 3.) Stay quiet: This is the most important thing any player can avoid. Without radar, you’re limited to only what can be seen on the screen. Beyond yourself, your teammates need to know where the opposing side is. Talk and call out everything you can see. We begin now with the three basic gametypes for Midship. Midship – Team Slayer Alright team! First things first, take control of a base. Make your way towards a base with the team covering each other. There needs to be an establishing point. Call out spots and work towards building a solid defense to which the team can build their offensive run on. Once completed, the team’s morale can drastically go up. Now you have an area that your team can control, confidence is instantly filled back into the team. One goal accomplished now -- onto the next set. Begin heading towards Pink. Make sure to have two towards Pink 2 and one heading to Pink 1 and 3 respectively. Without this area there is no high ground advance and little-to-no chance of coming back. Now, as the Pink area is taken, begin to focus fire towards the bases having two groups of two focus BR fire on one player. Now the score begins to get close as the other team will rush towards Pink to reclaim it. Midship – CTF (Capture the Flag) There is a constant flow of players coming towards the base. Slowly take them out and begin the comeback with a defense stand. Push them out towards middle and concentrate fire towards the main player. This is the one that is eliminating your team. Usually when they are taken care of, the team falters and plays more defensively. Now they are on the run. Place a player on top Middle and begin to take out the opposing team. Now that they are stuck, you can easily call players out and take the flag. Continue the pressure and have two go in and extract the flag each time while another stays Pink 3. Pressure with grenades and offensive waves. Watch out for their counter-attack and you will win the game. Midship – Neutral Bomb Here is everything you need to know about establishing Pink 3. Bring the entire team there and just rush Pink 2 towards Pink 3. Once Pink is established concentrate towards taking two players and the bomb carrier on Pink side. After getting a plant work towards the Top Middle to keep the opposing team fragged and dead. Beyond that, it is all the same. Pressure them into making mistakes. Follow these basics and any team can come back from adversity on Midship.
