Halo 2: MLG Orlando 07 Halo Championship Melee

By: Travis Cosby - Published September 22, 2007 at 9:38 PM EDT - Writer Archive
The Halo Championship Bracket has concluded here at the Dolphin Resort of Walt Disney in Lake Buena Vista. Str8 Rippin has come out on top of Final Boss after a long and hard journey through the championship bracket.
dust has settled and we are left with new MLG champions. Placing second at last month's MLG Chicago stop, team Str8 Rippin has defeated Final Boss in an overall score of 6-2.

Str8 Rippin has been able to take advantage of their great placing last event to make it all the way to the number one seeding. Taking out numerous top teams on their way to number one, they have defeated the best of the best and proved their worth to the fans.

It's one thing to come into the finals above the other team three games to one, but it's another thing to dominate another three maps to one.

Championship Bracket can be found on the LAST PAGE

Congratulations to team Str8 Rippin as they head off into Las Vegas for the playoffs!

Looking at the brackets shows a few probable match ups that will be of interest. First up is a game between Final Boss and FBI The Agency and only the ninth seeded Perfect Storm could impede this early match up. Another probable third round match up takes place between Str8 Rippin and 5k. Look for 5k to make some noise, but will still fall short. The rest of the big name match ups will not be taking place until at least the fourth round and thus will have to wait until Sunday.

Event bracket can be found on the final page
