MLG is winding down as Gamebattles beings its 2007 Summer Season Ladder. Players from all over entered in what can be considered the last Halo 2 event before Halo 3 kicks off this September. Dpad will now cover the entire ladder beginning with this past weekend’s games:


Fourth Seeded Fire Team Ech0 defeated Straight Terror Alliance 7 – 1 over a series of close matches. While the objective matches were close, Straight Terror Alliance could not defeat Fire Team Ech0 as they dominated the Team Slayer game types by double the kills.



Tr1cky A2 managed to defeat e4g3rTOk1ll in a close set 6 – 4. The series seemed to be e4g3rTOk1ll’s with a 50-10 route in game 7 but Tr1cky A2 managed to come back in full force and defeat the team with a back-to-back victory in Team Ball and Team Slayer on Midship.



Sick BRS defeated Fatal Chaos in a no show due to controversy over players ignoring invites to play FFA. According to Halofreak33, "He was supposedly playing an FFA with 'Walshy' until 7:50... He ignored all my invites and messages." Due to this Sick BRS reported the scores as forfeit in the score of 11 – 0.
