With MLG Las Vegas on the way, many teams are hard at work preparing for their chance to dominate the competition and earn their rightful spot as the MLG 2007 Pro Circuit Champions. While many teams are already earning their stripes with their perfect strategies and great team communication, there really isn’t any room for mistakes. With this in mind, countless clutches have been performed on Clock Tower, a map where the Lancer is used more than the Gnasher (shotgun).

In this article I will be focusing on the strongest points, flanks and rushes.

Okay, so let's get started by going over the map.

Boom Shot and Grenades are on the bottom side of the map where Long Shot and Hammer Burst are on the top section of the map. With many strategies for this map, I will be reviewing the one that has a much bigger effect than any other, Code name "Perfect Flank". In this particular strategy the dominant player on both teams will battle it out on the bottom section of the map (usually what is called "Middle") to get possession of the Grenades. The team that has possession of these Grenades has a much bigger advantage.

While the hectic battle for Grenades is waging, the other players will travel to the top to face off in a Lancer war. The positions where each player take, plays a crucial part in the "Perfect Flank". So you might be wondering, where do I send my teammates for them to frag people without them getting fragged themselves? Well one player will have to take cover at the last pillar near the Long Shot, one behind the hut, and the last player will take cover near the stairs right before the garden area. When these places are occupied you can team Lancer anyone who steps out of cover on the opposing team, fragging them instantly. This will give the Grenade player the perfect chance to successfully run upstairs and Grenade Tag someone. When this is happening, the original player will rush over and finish off anyone who is still standing.

Controlling the top section of the map basically controls the whole map. With the bottom side being the weakest part of the map, it will be less occupied. This is basically why the dominant players will go down. But if the opposing team sends two players down middle, one of your players will hold back as a Lancer from the entrance of middle helps out the Grenade player while he pushes up towards Grenades. With Grenades in hand he will then throw them up towards top-side middle of the other team, stunning or killing anyone off in that position. This gives the greatest opportunity for your team to either push top-side creating a distraction for the player or players on the bottom to go and flank the team that is running down. With this, your team will box in the remaining players and just let loose the fury of the Gnasher.

Mastering this strategy will help you overcome any team that plays you, so get out that and prevail against every team that steps in your way.
