Gears of War: vVv Vixens Dropped - UPDATED

By: Michael Murray - Published August 21, 2007 at 3:54 PM EDT - Writer Archive
vVv Vixens dropped from the vVv organization. More information by LordJerith inside.
After a disappointing performance at MLG Chicago, the vVv Vixens have been removed from the organization. Although they did not perform very well (being eliminated in 2 games), Kewtie Pie had told me the reason why they performed poorly.

"We didn't even have our full roster at the event. TKE had to play for Lipstick because she told us at the last second that she couldn't come to the event."

Update:

After a few words from LordJerith we were able to hear the organization's point:

"We thought we should have and a more formal tryout process, so we wanted to re-evaluate the team. The rest of the team will be trying out, she is the only one that left."

vVv Gaming will be building another female gaming team from the ground up based upon their choices, perhaps just in time for Orlando.

The post regarding everything can be seen here.

Kewtie will be forming team Cyanide Rose with a number of other female gamers that believe they can place well at the next MLG stop.

I'd like to wish the best of luck to Cyanide Rose as well as vVv Gaming as they will undoubtedly meet at MLG Orlando.

#2 I disagree. An organization like vVv is trying to establish itself in the console arena. Having a female division makes a lot of sense, and will likely happen with a better result in the future.

Cyanide Rose. Creative =O

#3 Yeah, a female team is always good for marketability and if they can dominate like Vanessa in DoA, then thats a major win-win situation.
