first online game I ever played was quake 2. That game was loads of fun and exposed me too a whole new world online. After I saw the trailers for Half Life, I knew I had to get that game.
Started to play hldm right away and saw the game progress from ground battles on maps like datacore to dog fights in the air tau jumping thru maps in 2 seconds. Hunting people in public servers finding all the best new tricks and crazy shots with the tau. But that got old too fast, people started to use aux sound and shot you thru walls 100 feet away. I was fortuante enuff to play with some of the greats and learn some things from them while becomming elite. After I got really sick of playing dm, chameleon suggested I download counter-strike which I had tried during beta 1 but at that point it was a terrible game with wacky models.
I remeber my first couple of games on cs_assualt getting shown how to buy weapons from Frank aka "sith" completly noob at this odd game. Being a noob was atually fun, learning a new game and all its secrets. TRU left dm and started a cs clan which I knew would be a force in the cs world. chamelon, george, gusto, wiseguy, morph, all had amazing DM skills which would be twice as deadly in cs. After hanging out with them for a bit, Chameleon said it was cool to join. A little while longer and TRU merged with a texas clan called Riot Squad who had some great players like warsaw, rambo, sickness, etc. TRU and rs where big rivals and i never saw that merger happing from a million miles away but it did and created a clan called Syndacite (syn.). Syn. was a great clan with way to many players and conflicting egos which lead to its downfall not to long after. Chameleon sold out and went with rambo to X3.
I went inactive for a bit then joined [xeno] a quake clan making a cs team. xeno was scrim crazy and we never lost a scrim. After playing a quebec team they wanted to merge with us and Reek steel and tornado joined xeno making us alot stronger. A little while longer and wiseguy gusto and george joined aswell. At the start of xeno I used to play all the time then people started to get alot more playing time then me and it became apparnent that I wouldn't be on starting line. Sometimes to only way to become better is to play good clans but if no one gives u the chance its hard to do and i went to the bottom of the barrel. After CPL xeno broke up and the clans i clan hopped for a while which is funny cuz i was one of the most loyal players around.
