Nintendo DS: Diamond, Pearl sell 10 million

By: Robert Rodriguez - Published July 31, 2007 at 11:20 AM EDT - Writer Archive
The latest entries in the Pokemon franchise, Diamond and Pearl, have hit the 10 million sold mark.
Nintendo continues to rake in the cash with their Nintendo DS handheld through the phenomenal sales of the Pokemon Diamond and Pearl -- the latest additions to the 12 year old franchise.

Since its release the game has sold 10 million copies worldwide; the Japanese are responsible for 5.2 million of those sales, while Americans came in a not-so-bad second place. The game was just released in Europe 3-4 days ago, so sales will continue to rise throughout the months into, and well after the holiday season.

#2 that's true, but at the rate they release these games it might as well feel like a reoccuring payment.
