In only two days, The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass has sold 350,000 copies in Japan.
Two days ago, The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass was released exclusively for the Nintendo DS in Japan with a pretty ambitious goal: to revitalize the franchise and give it some much needed spice. And what better handheld to do it on than the DS? With its innovative features, who would get bored of dicing enemies and tossing boomerangs around via the touch screen? Anyway, in those two days, it has managed to sell 350,000 copies; making it the fastest selling Zelda game since Ocarina of Time, which was released 10 years ago on the SNES, which is also available via Virtual Console for 1,000 points, which placed #2 on IGN's Top 100 Games of all-time list, which....you get the point. The game is slated for an October release here in the U.S.
